Andrew led Peter to Jesus. What was it that moved Andrew to go to his brother Peter and joyfully urge him to go and meet Jesus. I believe that Andrew longed for the coming Messiah and finding Him he hurries to tell his brother the good news. In the short time, he knew the Messiah,...
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.
My body is broken from my battle with cancer. I battle numerous infections, decreased mobility, sleepless nights. I am on oxygen as my lungs are weak. There are days when I have no strength to move and must resign...
When the sacredness of life before birth is attacked we shall affirm that no one has the authority to destroy unborn life. When a baby is described as a burden or looked upon only as a means of satisfying an emotional need, we will stand up and insist that every child is a unique and unrepeatable gift of God with the right to a loving and united family. When the institution of marriage is abandoned to human selfishness or reduced to a temporary and conditional arrangement that can easily be prescinded, we will stand up and affirm the indissolubility of the marriage bond.
When the value of the family is threatened because of social and economic pressures, we will affirm that the family is NECESSARY not only for the common good of every person, but also for the common good of every society, and state. When freedom is used to dominate the weak, to squander natural resources and energy, or to deny basic necessities to people, we will insist on the demands of justice and social love.
When the sick, aged or the dying are abandoned in loneliness, we will reiterate time and again that they are worthy of love, care and respect.
