Living the Fatima Message

St. Pope John Paul II in his Encyclical Redemptoris Mater (Mother of the Redeemer), wrote:

The piety of the Christian people has always very rightly ssensed a profound link between devotion to the Blessed Virgin and worship of the Eucharist. Mary guides the faithful to the Eucharist.

Pope St. John Paul II

The spirituality of the children of Fatima was Trinitarian, Christological, very Contemplative, and Apostolic. With the Immaculate Heart of Mary as their model and guide, they grew to great heights of sanctity. The Blessed Mother came as a catechist and showed them a vision of hell asking them to offer their suffering to Jesus for the salvation of souls. She taught them Eucharistic Reparation. The message of Fatima is a call for the sanctification of family life leading to peace in these turbulent times permeated with hate and discord. The Christian Family is a miniature Mystical body of Christ, the domestic Church in which we are called to fulfill our vocations as parents by living a deeply intense Eucharistic, contemplative life in this world. As parents, we need to form and educate our children beginning with the early years. As our children grow it is vital to catechize them in greater depth. Pray the family rosary daily as the Blessed Mother requested.

Sweet Heart of Mary be my salvation!
